Quality at SKETS is a way of life – we ensure that there is Quality work at every step. SKETS has developed a proprietary Project Management tool “ePlan” to ensure Quality in our projects. ePlan provides a graphic representation of project-related status, with special emphasis on Process Compliance and Quality.

Our mission is ‘To provide high value services by operating on a continually improving service model”. To achieve this we have developed a proprietary project management tool “ePlan” which helps in tracking the progress and quality of our projects. A reusable repository of client specific standards and templates is also maintained in ePlan.

SKETS has invested in developing robust quality processes & an in-house web-based, easy-to-use, simple system “ePlan” for all types of project-related information, easy management/tracking of project efforts among multi-location project teams, work-sharing, and Pareto Analysis of Concerns & Errors.

SKETS has created an organizational structure called Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure high quality service. Reports generated by ePlan enable management to focus on quality and process adherence.

ePlan is used to track project status and progress. The estimates, scope & schedule is captured in the system and daily timesheets are maintained to monitor and track the time spent and schedule of the project.

Helps build a repository of information for project planning and estimation. Technical Blogs and Discussion Forum within ePlan promote Knowledge Sharing within the organization.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT

SKETS strives towards attaining high-quality standards in all its work and it has become its distinguishing attribute. The SKETS team believes that quality is of prime importance for the success of any business. Therefore, for the Team, Quality is not just about executing a method or working towards a set standard. It is an attitude, a culture, a way of life and a way of working. SKETS follows a robust and well-defined Quality Management System, to ensure complete customer satisfaction. The Team has a well-defined Production Methodology and a separately defined Quality Control Procedures to ensure the best deliverables to all the clients.

SKETS quality assurance systems functions on preventive and corrective principles. Preventive measures to ensure quality compliance includes design & drafting guidelines, project set-up, team allocation etc. Corrective measures ensure quality compliance by eliminating errors which are leaked like peer review, our proprietary 3 Gate quality checks, design & drafting checklists (discipline wise). The process ensures that the project team strives for continuous improvement by improving Process efficiencies, Value Additions, Project Audits, and Skill development.

Apart from the “Quality Processes”, SKETS has a “Project & Quality Audits” group that has the responsibility to ensure that work methodology and processes for each project are satisfactorily followed and the work output for each project will adhere to the defined statement of work for the project. The project & program management and quality systems focus to enable the team to consistently deliver high quality to our clients and achieve good client satisfaction levels.

EXECUTION MODELS

We primarily have three studio models. Most of our clients have a flexible delivery schedule ergo they opt for the type of models in accordance to their needs.

Project Delivery Models

Once we receive a Request for Proposal our team puts together a proposal based on the scope of work and project schedule. Based on the project requirement we recommend the execution model to be adopted for the project.

Project Based Model

Project Based Model

Project based model is designed for individual projects with well-defined scope. Under this model we prepare an estimate for the project and the fee is based on the scope of work. SKETS team acts as a virtual extension of the client’s design team. The project coordinator provides an interface between the design team and SKETS team.

Dedicated Studio Model

Project Based Model

We dedicate a team or “studio” for the client based on the requirements. The team is assigned to perform work on multiple projects exclusively for the client. The Dedicated Studio operates as an extended arm of the client’s studio. With mature processes and integrated teams, the documentation time is reduced drastically. This model is ideal when client needs to augment their team and require assistance across multiple projects.

Timesheet Model

Timesheet Model

In renovation projects the scope of work for the project is fluid and thus creating an estimate becomes difficult. In these scenarios a time sheet model is recommended. Team maintains detailed timesheet for the work carried out and these are shared with the design team on a periodic basis.
  • Design team is able to monitor and guide areas where changes need to be made

  • Both the teams can work on the drawings in parallel

  • Billing is based on the actual time spent on the project
